Three New Things

January13

Three new things I did when I was in America:

Walk across a frozen stream

Visit a town where nobody locks their doors and leave the keys in their cars

Being stuck in a snow storm in an aeroplane on the runway in Boston for four hours

Hi Gabrielle, imagine the story ideas you could get from being stuck in a snow storm on a runway in Boston. Or maybe it was too cold?
    I enjoy reading your blog.

Hi Sheryl, You’re right. I did do a lot of writing while I was waiting in that plane. Luckily I had my notepad with me. I began a short story, not about being stuck in a snow storm, but about a boy who is holidaying with his parents and while he is in the lift alone one day, the doors open onto a strange floor that only he seems to have access to.

I will be sure to let you know the next time I’m up your way. And the same applies to you when you’re in Melbourne.
