Thanks Karen for the Amish quilters' tip. It seems to be one of those 'beliefs' that you hear about but don't know where it comes from. Happy writing.

Gabrielle, I think it's the Amish quilters (but I could be wrong!) who always place a square on their quilts upside down for the same reason: because only God is perfect.

I can't wait to read 'Little Paradise' and I'm very glad that you didn't press the send button a fraction of a second earlier :) I am glad, however, that you chose to share that here because I got a real giggle out of it.

Although I've never been a formal proof-reader, I seem to be able to spot a mistake at a hundred paces, particularly in spelling/typos. I drive my hubby mad by pointing out all the misspelled signs around the place. "May your tpyos be few and your grammatical errors easy identified!" LOL

Yes, exactly, Mai. I find that when I'm painting I have to keep starting over and over again because the mistakes are so obvious to me. I'm sure nobody would even notice them but I'm too much of a perfectionist.
I guess creating something and then letting it go is what it's all about. It's sort of like life. You have to live it the best way you know how at the time. Then move on.

Reading after publishing is probably not a good idea, you're right!
Kind of like looking at a painting you've made and there'll always be something wrong with it, somewhere.
